Cognitive Behavioural and Integrative Psychotherapy
Helping you achieve your therapy and life goals
What KM Therapy offers
Hello, I'm Katie and I'm an integrative therapist, offering support for individuals looking to work through anxiety, depression and/or life issues and life changes. I also support clients to uncover solutions and understand themselves, enabling change as and where desired.
ABOUT
I can help you understand how thinking and behaviour influence your situation. I work with you to develop new perspectives, thinking and behaviours that enable you to address specific problems, more effectively. We can also examine the effect of different systems - such as the family or work system - on your mood. I am aware that people's experience of the world can be influenced by diversity characteristics such as gender, sexuality, race, religion etc.. As an ethical therapist, I offer a confidential, safe space for you to explore your feelings and be yourself in an empathic, non-judgemental environment.
What began as a search for answers relating to my own issues, reflecting on my lack of self-trust, lack of self-belief and the anxieties causing relentless, unhelpful behaviour cycles., lead to a revelatory journey of discovery and ignited a passion for supporting others to uncover their own answers and achieve their own goals. My training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Humanistic and Psychodynamic therapy allows for an integrative approach in addition to, a singular therapy approach. Each individual is.......an individual, with individually unique requirements, so with this in mind, we can discuss and agree which approach you may prefer and which suits you best.
* I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)

Therapy Sessions
We start with a free introductory 10-15 minute chat where you can outline your challenges, allowing us to explore how we might work together. This gives an opportunity to discuss how each therapeutic approach works, both as individual therapies and/or integratively.
Sessions are 50 minutes long and are held via Zoom - A typical session includes a review on work thus far, a check on how you're doing and how you are finding working with the model.
Therapy can last between 7-20 sessions and takes place weekly. The length of therapy will depend on the nature of your problems and on your felt progress - this we can monitor and discuss throughout, as needed.
